Richmond, VA—Estes Express Lines, a premier transportation provider of both in-depth regional and comprehensive long-haul services, announced today that as of March 1, 2008, the company will expand its direct service area by opening terminals in North and South Dakota, Nebraska, Minnesota, Iowa and Wisconsin to complete its nationwide footprint and provide its customers with 100% direct coverage to all 50 states in the U.S.
Estes’ 2005 acquisition of former ExpressLINK member carrier G.I. Trucking in the Western region catapulted Estes into national-carrier status. “This move to provide direct coverage to the few remaining states in the U.S. is a logical next step,” said Estes Express Lines’ President and CEO Rob Estes. “Providing customers with access to experienced, local transportation professionals has always been our focus. With this expansion, we can further personalize the service and customize it to specifically fit our customers’ needs.”
COO and Executive Vice President Billy Hupp added, “Our growth in the Midwest will open up a number of direct and next-day lanes, which in effect reduces both transit times and freight handling. This enhances our ability to meet our customers’ growing needs in the next-day market.”
